Please let me know that how to view Chrome’s incognito download history. I am facing some issues while using chrome. If anyone knows then help me.
Incognito mode allows a user to search anonymously with other users who are using the device that you are using but they can't see your activity. Nevertheless, a user can still view Chrome's incognito download history.
You may want to go back to the website that you opened in incognito mode earlier but you can't do that as this search is not saved in the history. If you want, you can search for it again on Google. People think that browsing and download history cannot be retrieved at all while using the incognito mode but that's not true.
In Windows, there is a feature that allows a user to view as well as delete the incognito download history. You can easily check it by using various third-party websites available on the internet. Nevertheless, we will not use any of these apps. Rather, we are going to examine the DNS cache.
DNS is the short form of the Domain Name System. It changes the URL of any website into an IP address that corresponds to the website. We open all the websites by entering their web address such as Youtube.com, gmail.com, etc. But the truth is that your browser does not recognize this address. Rather, the browser needs the IP address of the website that you wish to open.
So, when we enter the web address in the address bar of your web browser, it sends a request to the domain name system. In an answer to the query from the browser, DNS matches the website URL into an IP address and gives the IP address to the browser.
The DNS cache is the memory of recent queries stored on the local hard drive of your computer. If you wish to get a quick response from the server when you visit the same website the next time, it will keep a record of all the recently visited websites.
Below are the steps that you need to follow to access the incognito download history of Chrome.
Step 1: First of all, go to the search function of Windows and then type cmd. After that, right-click on it in order to Run it as administrator.
Step 2: After that, you need to copy and paste the command in order to view the DNS cache history. Please ensure that you press the enter key after typing the command.
Step 3: Now, you are going to view detailed information about the website, which you visited previously but aren't recorded in the history.
Step 5: To delete the history, type the command below and press the Enter key.
Generally, cookies are used to give you a relevant and tailored experience. However, websites cannot follow you on the web, they can make a detailed profile compilation of all your online activities. After that, they use these details to send targeted advertisements for you.
In case, you have incognito mode enabled on your PC, then the cookies will get removed when you log out. This will allow you to keep your personal preferences private. Nevertheless, there are a few disadvantages too.
