Get Back the Chrome Address bar after Losing it on Resize:

When you do multiple things on Chrome, you may see that its address bar disappears every time you resize it and this can be quite annoying. This issue has remained for a long time. This usually happens when you have a lot of extensions installed on your browser. You may also face this issue because of improper Google Chrome settings

How can I Get Back the Chrome Address bar after Losing it on Resize?

1) Turn Off Hardware Acceleration

Below are the steps that you need to follow in order to disable hardware acceleration.

Step 1: First of all, go to three dots and then launch settings

Step 2: After that, choose the option of Show Advanced Settings and then go down to the option of System and then Uncheck use hardware acceleration when required.

Hardware acceleration uses the computer's graphics processing unit (GPU) for handling graphics-intensive operations like performing computations and watching movies. Enabling this option can actually cause issues when you lose the Chrome address bar after resizing.

2) Remove Extensions that are not Needed

Below are the steps that you need to perform to remove unneeded extensions.

Step 1: Launch Chrome

Step 2: Go to the top-right corner with three dots, then go to More tools, and then finally select extensions.

Step 3: Then select the extension that you wish to remove. Now, confirm this action by clicking on Remove.

This particular workaround is only for those who have various extensions and plugins installed. Hence it becomes difficult for Chrome to change the layout on a smaller window.

3) Uninstall Chrome and then Reinstall It

Below are the steps that you need to follow in order to uninstall Chrome and then reinstall it.

Step 1: First of all, go to the Start menu and then enter Control Panel in the search area and then select Control Panel.

Step 2: After that, uninstall a program from the Programs setting.

Step 3: Now, search for Chrome and then uninstall it.

Step 4: After that, reinstall the app from the official page of Chrome.

Uninstalling and reinstalling is an old trick and it always works. It is important for you to take notes of your settings if you have changed them as uninstallation will bring it back to default settings.

Are There Any Good Alternatives to Chrome?

If you are looking for alternatives to Chrome, then the Vivaldi browser is the perfect alternative and it has more options than the Google Chrome browser. It has many capabilities such as image properties, screen capture, and notes.

In case you already have Vivaldi and you are encountering problems with it, then you must get them fixed as soon as possible. Google has never released an official solution to this resizing problem. So, to fix this problem, you need to rely on the solutions mentioned above.
