Hello Guys, Please let me know how can I remove Vulkan runtime libraries in windows 10? I tried many times but failed. So Can anyone have any idea? Help me.
A lot of Windows 10 users start to worry when they find the presence of Vulkan Run Time Libraries on their system. This program shows up under the heading Programs and Features and is given by LunarG, Inc.
The runtime library is nothing more than a collection of software and its main aim is to offer services or functions. In this library, you are going to find various functions and programs, which are mainly used by all types of software.
In simple words, a runtime library offers to add resources to the main program. One main thing about the installation of Vulkan is that it does not inform the user regarding its presence as no pop-up window will appear on the screen. This is why when they view Vulkan Runtime libraries in the list of programs, they consider it as the presence of malicious software on their system.
For those of you who think that this is some kind of malicious program, don't fret. You don't need to remove Vulkan from your system. It is a new graphics standard just like DirectX and OpenGL.
It offers cross-platform, high efficiency to modern GPUs used in several devices such as mobile phones, consoles, and PCs. Vulkan helps in reducing CPU usage. Moreover, it better distributes the work amongst different cores.
In case you are using Nvidia drivers, then there is a very high possibility that you have a Vulkan runtime library running on your PC. This is so because it gets installed on your graphics card driver and you will not see any installation window on the screen.
If you are a gamer, then Vulkan is surely there on the system. In case you are not a gamer, then you still won't be able to find it. Don't delete Vulkan from your system because once it is uninstalled, it is very difficult to install it back on your system as it comes with graphics drivers.
It is highly recommended to keep Vulkan on your system but if you still wanna remove Vulkan from your system so badly, then here are some steps that you need to carry out.
Step 1: First of all, navigate to the Control Panel and then go and choose the option of Uninstall a program.
Step 2: Go down to Vulkan Runtime libraries and then choose it. After that, click on uninstall.
Alternately, you can follow these steps to remove Vulkan libraries from your PC
Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing the Windows key and R key simultaneously.
Step 2: Open the Run box and then enter appwiz.cpl and then select Ok.
Step 3: Now, a list will appear before you and you have to search for Vulkan Runtime libraries. Right-click on it and then select a change or uninstall.
Step 4: Carry out the steps given below and then complete the process of uninstallation.
So, these are all the steps that you need to perform in order to uninstall Vulkan Runtime libraries in Windows 10.
