Fix RAV Antivirus Automatically Installed:

A lot of antivirus software is created to keep the system secure and safe. However, not every antivirus software can satisfy your needs. The RAV antivirus software gets installed when you are running some other app and you search for different ways to remove it.

RAV antivirus was acquired by Microsoft in the year 2000s. Nevertheless, a lot of people find it running on their computer and you aren't able to determine whether it is disguised or a real deal. If you wish to know how to remove RAV antivirus, then below mentioned are the solutions that you need to follow.

How to Remove the RAV Antivirus?

1) Use Settings

  • Press the Windows and I key simultaneously to open settings and then choose Apps by going to the tabs listed in the navigation pane.
  • Select apps and features are given on the right side.
  • After that, start looking for the RAV antivirus entry and then select ellipses next to it. Then, you need to choose Uninstall from the flyout menu.
  • Now, select Uninstall from the Confirmation prompt appearing before you.

One of the simplest ways to remove RAV antivirus is to go to Settings. In some cases, selecting the uninstall button may not work in the first attempt. However, you may have to hit it some more times.

2) Use the Control Panel

Below are the steps that you need to follow in order to use the Control Panel.

Step 1: Press the Windows key and R key simultaneously to launch the Run dialog box. Type appwiz.cpl in the text area. You can either press the Enter key or select Ok to open the window of Programs and Features.

Step 2: After that, you must select RAV antivirus entry and then choose Uninstall.

Step 3: Choose Yes from the confirmation prompt appearing before you.

Step 4: Then, carry out the prompts appearing on the screen to complete the uninstallation process.

This is one more way to get rid of the RAV antivirus when it's automatically installed on your computer. Just ensure that you carry out the instructions appearing on the screen by going to the app uninstaller.

3) Use Third-Party Uninstaller Software

You can use an inbuilt app removal mechanism of Windows. There are some cases where the changes to the registry aren't correct or some files are left behind. After you uninstall the app, the changes will be reverted. This is when you need a third-party uninstaller software. The software will remove the app completely and ensure that there is no trace left.

It does not make the removal process easier and will help you save storage for the long run. This will also help you remove the antivirus if it got installed on your computer automatically. A reputed third-party tool can help you uninstall and clean the remnants of the antivirus CCleaner. It has a simple feature of Uninstaller. It is quite similar to the one inbuilt by Windows.

4) Perform a System Restore

Step 1: Open the search menu by pressing the Windows + S keys on your keyboard. You can create a restore point in the text area given at the top. After that, select the relevant search result.

Step 2: After that, select the System Restore button.

Step 3: You can go to the recommended restore point or select a different one manually. Choose a relevant option and then select Next to proceed.

Step 4: In case you selected the option of Choose a different restore point earlier, then choose one from the list and then select Next.

Step 5: In the end, you need to verify the details and select Finish at the end, to begin with the restore process.

If nothing is working, then you must use the option of System Restore. Once you do that, the computer will go back to a previous point, which is also called a Restore point. If you make any changes to the PC, it will be reverted. These changes include modifications to settings or addition to new apps.
