Hi Guys, Please let me know how to fix the audio playback issues on my Roku tv? I am facing this issue last 1 week I don't know how to fix it. Help me.
Some Roku users have reported that no sound is audible while streaming content. What's the issue? Why are there audio playback issues on my Roku tv? Sometimes you are streaming and playing videos on Roku TV but unable to hear the associated audio or sounds with it.
The TV is turning ON correctly, the picture display is OK, the video or images are displaying properly but still, you are not able to hear any of the sounds.
So, are you thinking about how to fix the sound on my Roku tv? This blog offers some recommendations that will help you in dealing with the Roku tv sound issues.
Check Volume Control Status: Ensure that the volume level is not set to zero (0) or it is not mute. For this, use a remote and press the volume up button to increase the volume of your Roku TV. Try pressing the mute button to unmute the TV.
Verify all Channels or Apps: You have to now check whether the issue is occurring with every channel or app you are streaming on your Roku TV. If the issue occurs with more than one streaming channel or app, then there might be a technical issue or possibility that the signal strength of the network is poor.
In case, the audio playback issue is occurring with a specific channel, try to view a different content title to further isolate the issue. You can perform two actions with the channel.
Check TV Cable Connections: When you are using DVI or YPbPr cable, remember to connect the left and right of the device's audio output jacks to the TV's left (L) and right (R) audio input ports.
If the TV is connected to a different device such as a cable or satellite box, DVD, Blu-Ray, etc. make sure that the cable connections are properly done (red and white cables for the audio). If the external device comes with a separate remote, use that to adjust the volume levels.
Step 1. Make sure to check for breaks in the cable. Try replacing the cable with a new one in case of breaks.
Step 2. Check whether the HDMI/Optical connectors are plugged in. You can even try reversing the ends of the cable.
Confirm TV's Audio Settings: In order to view, check, and configure the audio settings for your Roku TV, follow the given steps below:
Step 1: Press the Home button on your remote to see the Home screen on Roku TV.
Step 2: Scroll down the Home screen and select the Settings option.
Step 3: Press the right arrow button and scroll to select the Audio option.
Step 4: Press the right arrow button and scroll to select the Audio mode.
Step 5: Press the right arrow button and scroll to highlight the Auto (Stereo) option.
Step 6: Confirm the settings by pressing the OK button.
Roku releases new versions of the app in order to fix the reported bugs and issues. Therefore, you should be updating your device with the latest version of the App.
To update the software, Go to Settings > System > System Update on your Roku player and download the most recent app version.
Hope this solution is helpful in resolving the audio issues while watching videos and you are not experiencing them anymore.
