Fix a Virus Warning Pop-Up on Android:

It doesn't matter how many attempts you make to save your Android device from viruses, you will always see some or the other virus infecting your device. Sadly, when you see a virus on your Android device, you won't see any warnings until you open an antivirus program.

A lot of times, users only see a fake virus popping up, which states that their  Android device is infected with a virus. When that happens, you have to tap on a button that may ask you to run a scan and delete the software.

One thing that you need to take care of is that you must not tap on any button on the website. If you see any warning sign appearing on your web browser, then that means your internet browser has been infected by a malicious extension or add-on.

To fix the virus warning pop-ups, you must delete this extension as soon as possible. If you don't tap on any button on the browser, then your browser will remain safe from virus infections.

Remove a Fake Virus Warning

It is easy to remove a browser code that launched the pop-up window. below are the steps that you need to follow to do the same.

Step 1: There is a chance that you will not be able to close the antivirus pop-up window. When that happens, you must close all the browser windows.

Step 2: After that, you must go to Android settings and then launch Apps.

Step 3: Then, you must open the browser that you were using before you saw the virus warning. Now, you need to select the app open its settings.

Step 4: Now, you are going to see two buttons on top of your App window. Select the option of Force Stop, when this happens the browser app will stop running.

Step 5: You will see a pop-up window once you select the force stop option. Then, click on the OK button.

Step 6: Open the app window and then click on the Clear Cache button.

Step 7: Once you clear the cache, the memory usage will go back to 0B.

Step 8: After stopping the browser and clearing the cache, the fake pop-up option will be gone.

Block Pop-Ups on your Android Browser

When you close the fake virus pop-up window, you will see the settings in your internet browser where you can enable the fake virus pop-up. Below are the steps that you need to follow in order to prevent this from happening.

Step 1: Select the arrow given at the upper-right corner of your Google Chrome browser. If you see that an update is available for Chrome, then start the update by clicking on the option of Update Chrome. This will help you make sure that you have the latest version.

Step 2: Go back to the Chrome menu and then select Settings.

Step 3: Open the Settings menu and then select Site Settings.

Step 4: Scroll to the pop-ups and redirects option and then select it.

Step 5: After that, go to the window of pop-ups and redirects. Turn off the selector and set the setting to Block sites from showing redirects and pop-ups.

Step 6: Go back to the window of Site Settings and then select Ads. Then, open the window of Ads.

Step 7: Turn off the selector so that the setting is set to "Block ads on the sites which show misleading or intrusive ads".

Step 8: Now, return to the window of site settings and then select the "Automatic Downloads" option.

Step 9: Go to the window of "Automatic downloads" and then change the setting to Ask First.

So, these are the steps that you need to follow to fix the virus warning pop-ups.
