You will want to hide the movies and TV shows you watch on Netflix if you share an account. Maybe it's because the movies were a little naughty, or perhaps you have a hidden passion that you don't want the world to know about.
Delete your Netflix viewing history for whatever excuse you have. It takes just a minute or two to complete and is so simple.
Step 1: To begin, open your preferred browser and log into your Netflix account. Since your browsing history is tied to your profile, you'll want to make sure you choose the correct one if you have several users associated with your Account.
Don't worry if you pick the wrong profile by mistake. Using the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner, you can choose a different one.
Step 2: After that, go to the right-hand drop-down menu and pick Account from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Profile & Parental Controls section and press the blue View icon next to Viewing Activity in the Profile & Parental Controls section. This will take you to a page that displays Everything you've seen so far.
Step 4: A cancel sign will appear to the far right of each entry. When you hover your cursor over the icon, the text Hide From Display History appears.
This will remove the entry from your history if you press it (and, thus, eliminate any impact it may have had on your personalized recommendations). However, it could take up to 24 hours for the move to take effect.
Something to Keep in Mind: Each episode of a television show is listed separately, labeled by season and episode title. When you click the Circle-Backslash icon on a single title, it will only delete that episode.
However, you won't have to go through this tedious process with each episode because a prompt will appear asking if you want to erase the entire series from your history, which you can do with a single click.
Step 5: You now have the option of deleting your entire viewing history in one fell swoop. There will be a choice to Hide Everything at the bottom of your viewing history if you scroll to the bottom.
Then, on Netflix's confirmation pop-up, select Yes, Mask All My Viewing Activity. Netflix will delete your history after 24 hours.
First, to clear the Netflix history for a particular profile, open the Netflix app on your phone and select it. Then, in the bottom-right corner of the screen, tap the "More" tab and select the "Account" option, which will take you to Netflix's website.
Now scroll to the bottom of the page and select the “Viewing activity” option, which will display all of the movies and TV shows you've seen so far. It's now time to start deleting data. You have two choices: either delete all of your Netflix histories at once or delete movies and TV shows one by one.
To delete all, go to the bottom of the page and tap "Hide everything," then "Yeah, hide all my viewing activity." Tap the circular icon next to a movie or TV show to delete individual names, after which you can choose to delete the entire series by selecting the "Hide series?" option.
Conclusion
That's what there is to it. Your Account's viewing history, or all your personal favorite shows, will be deleted.
